    Bleed fork numerous times before checking oil level, waste of time otherwise

    • @TeamProCycle
      @TeamProCycle Месяц назад

      Thank you for watching but, it's not a waste of time. This is a practice that serves two-fold. First, we want all riders to utilize this technique in the event there is an air pocket down in the fork that would prevent the proper level of fork oil from being achieved. You can pour the proper amount of fork oil into a measuring device and achieve the same result, but not every rider has means to a measuring device. Second, by cycling the forks you're ensuring the fork is functioning as it should. It's better to catch it at this stage of the repair / upgrade, than to bolt everything back together only to find out down the road that something wasn't assembled properly. Let's not forget that trapped air can get hot under friction and prevent oil from lubricating internal components properly, leading to premature wear of parts.

    Can you explain the wheel and tire setup didn't know the tw had many other options 😮

    • @TeamProCycle
      @TeamProCycle Месяц назад

      This is a wheel set that we built and offer on our website for the TW200. The stock rear wheel size does not allow for any real options other than the stock tire and a couple more street oriented options. The front is almost in the same boat, except some riders are willing to fit a designated "Rear" 18 inch tire on the front wheel. While this is okay for some, it is not okay for others. We decided to offer a 19" x 2.5" front wheel for better / larger range of tire options. Plus, with a 19" front, you gain an easier transition over larger obstacles. For the rear tire we chose to go with a 17" x 3.5" wheel. This size offers an abundant amount of varying tire options. Some options we found were cheaper than the stock tire. Another benefit to choosing our wheel setup is that the wheels & spokes we use are much stronger than stock, and we true the wheel to a tighter spec than O.E..

      I've personally tested a few hand guards on the stock TW200 handlebars, and the Barkbuster brand do fit, others not so much or not at all. I will say there is not a whole lot of adjustment, but if you do have the stock bars and can't upgrade to a different bar, the Barkbuster will be a good choice. I have noticed over the years some riders place their handguards a little too high and maybe that's where some T-dub owners have run into problems. I do plan to test a set of CB500x Barkbuster handguards as they look a little more promising, but only time will tell.

    What’s the story with the pump rod sticking? My new tm40 is only 3weeks old and the rods started to stick and nothing is near it . The only thing I can see is the little rubber sleeve at the bottom that seems to have stretched and is stopping it retracting back properly and as quick as it should be. Bit bad this carb isn’t even a month old

      That's a great question. We've never come across this personally to evaluate the problem, but have heard of others having this issue. However, I haven't seen any remedies / reasons online. I would pull the float bowl off and start inspecting everything for the culprit. I suspect something is slowing the plunger from returning to the up-right position. If you need further help after inspection, please give us a call, text, or send us an email and we will help get you situated.
